Beginning counseling for the first time can be a
frightening prospect. It can also be empowering. Most
new clients find that they are more comfortable in their
first session than they expected to be. In fact, people
often begin to feel better immediately after making an
initial appointment. Simply making a decision to take
action can be reassuring, no matter how small the step.
