Don't Leave Your Depression Untreated. Discover Hope & a Better Life Instead.

Depression can make even ordinary tasks feel overwhelming. You may feel emotionally drained, unmotivated, disconnected from others, or stuck in patterns that are self-defeating and difficult to change.

Sometimes depression looks and feels like sadness. It can also appear as:

  • Fatigue or low energy

  • Lack of motivation

  • Irritability or impatience

  • Withdrawal from relationships

  • Difficulty concentrating

  • Feelings of hopelessness

  • Changes in sleep or appetite

  • Feeling “numb”

  • Harsh self-criticism

Depression can be paralyzing, so it is easy to get stuck in inaction. But you do not have to go through this alone.

I can help.

With more than 25 years of experience helping people to navigate the challenging parts of life, I offer hope, support, and strategies for getting through this difficult time.

My approach is supportive, collaborative, and practical. Together, we will explore the possible sources of your depression and identify actions you can take to reconnect with a greater sense of well-being.

When you make a decision to take action, you feel empowered and more hopeful.  Reaching out is the first step to feeling like yourself again.

Frequently Asked Questions About Therapy for Depression

1. I Am Depressed Because a Number of Bad Things Have Happened in My Life Lately. Can’t I Just Wait It Out? Won’t It Get Better With Time?

Actually, people are resilient and often will recover from losses and challenges without help.  However, sometimes a faulty belief system or the meaning you attach to certain events can keep you stuck in negative thought patterns.  Understanding your perception of events, changing your perspective, and/or employing simple strategies can provide relief more quickly.

2. I've Been Depressed for a Long Time, but There Is No “Obvious” Source or Reason for It. Can I Feel Better Even if I Don’t Know Why I'm Depressed?

Yes you can.  It is not necessary to identify a reason for your depression. Working together we may be able to find early experiences or messages that have led to patterns of negative thinking. But even without identifying a source, you can take steps to feel better.

3. Do You Prescribe Medication for Depression?

Anti-depressant medication can be an effective part of treatment for serious depression. We can discuss the pros and cons of medications, and if you decide to take that step, I can help you find the right person to evaluate your needs.
